Our Team
The Lviv Early Music Foundation is led by a small team of dedicated musicians who share a passion for historically informed performance and a vision for Ukraine's musical future.

Serhiy Havrylyuk
Ukrainian violist, Doctor of Arts, baroque violinist, and composer based in Lviv.
Serhiy teaches viola at the Lviv Mykola Lysenko National Music Academy and is actively engaged in solo and chamber music performances at the National House of Organ and Chamber Music in Kyiv and the Lviv National Philharmonic. In 2022 he studied at the Department of Early Music at the Folkwang Universitat der Kunste in Essen, Germany, and has since been performing early music concerts across Ukraine.
In 2025, Serhiy met Larry Tremsky and together they shared a passion for early music that led to the founding of the Lviv Early Music Foundation. Serhiy serves as director, bringing deep roots in Ukraine's musical community and an international perspective on historically informed performance.
Larry Tremsky
Organist and choral conductor with 25+ years as Director of Music at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, Garden City, NY.
Larry received undergraduate and masters degrees in organ performance, with additional studies in choral conducting. At the Cathedral of the Incarnation he directed a large music program with a strong focus on training boy and girl choristers, led an extensive outreach program, and made several recordings with the Cathedral Choirs. He served as Executive Director of the Montreal Boys Choir Course for over ten years.
Larry first visited Lviv in 2014 and developed a deep affection for the city. He relocated permanently in January 2026. His life-long interest in early music, combined with encounters with talented young Ukrainian musicians in 2024, led him to found the Lviv Early Music Foundation in 2025.
